Adoption

There are several different types of adoption. The most common adoption is the related party adoption. This occurs when the child and one of the adoptive parents are related. It is often utilized when a natural parent is not involved with the child and the custodial parent and his or her new spouse wish to adopt the child as theirs.

Other types of adoptions may involve agencies or private parties.
